Sports Article: 7th Grade Girls Volleyball

The 2017-2018 7th grade girls volleyball team is kicking off the season with a great start! The girls have faced every team in the district and have always come out on top. They have been establishing trust with each other which helps them with their teamwork. Coach Jim is pushing the girls to their limits to get them to play their best. The girls are working harder then they ever have before. Many of the girls are learning useful skills and are bonding with their new teammates. It is truly amazing how quickly the team has adjusted to one another.

Tessa Geigle, a player on the team, stated, “The only reason you would lose is if you beat yourself down or have a bad attitude. Attitude is altitude.” Tessa is one of the star players on the team and she knows how to put forth the maximum effort. Every practice Tessa tries her best, which is all that anyone could ask for. The entire team is so proud of all that they have accomplished so far. Kendyl Arnett, another terrific player on the team, said, “There is no elevator to success, you have to take the stairs.” Kendyl always has a smile on her face, plus is ready for anything that comes at her. She knows how to work hard and brings her all.

Overall, the 7th grade girls volleyball team is having a wonderful start to the season, and they can’t wait to see how the rest goes. Come cheer on the Grizzly girls when they play every Monday and Thursday afternoons. The girls are excited to compete for the 2017-2018 Superstition Conference title and take the victory!
