Poetry: Work at Home

The grass needs cutting,

I must fix the gate.

I am expecting a package,

I hope it’s not late,

I must get the  wash in,

There is ironing to do.

The water bill needs paying,

There is so much to do,

This is the life,

When you are working at home.

I must feed the cat,

There are dishes to do.

I will get around to that,

Ill de-frost the freezer if I’ve got time.

But i’m watching the game,

the news is just fine!

I’ll look at the spreadsheet,

Use my mobile phone,

so everyone knows,

that I’m working at home.
