Animal Survey

In Mrs. Turley’s social studies classroom, there are many different opinions on animals. Predators or prey? House pets or wild animals? I recently did a survey on their dislikes and likes.

To begin, my survey consists of 4 requests: “Put your favorite animal here. , “Put your least favorite animal here.” , “Do you like house pets (cats, dogs, hamster Etc.) or wild animals(alligators, lions, elephants Etc.)?, and “Do you like predators or prey?”  Nineteen people put a predator as their favorite animal. Nine people put a prey as their favorite animal. Sixteen people put a predator as their least favorite animal. Nine people put a prey as their least favorite animal. Fourteen people preferred House pets instead of wild animals. Eleven people preferred wild animals instead of house pets. Three people chose house pets and wild animals. Twenty-three people preferred predators rather than prey. Four people chose prey rather than predators. There are many mismatch opinions where a person will say that he/she prefers prey, but puts down a predator as their favorite animal. There are 23 such people.

To conclude my research, I draw that most people prefer very gentle animals that are friendly however, most people feel that predators are better than prey there are a few people who might have thought the animals such as dogs and cats are prey, this, however, is a false assumption. Dogs and cats are both predators. There are very few animals in the world that are prey. Learn more about animals to enhance your knowledge and become the person who knows what you’re talking about.
