Boys and girls differ on what they believe, so I decided to ask their opinion on weather or not Valentine’s Day is a real holiday or not. Let’s see what He said She said!
Raina Taylor (8th Grade-) “Yes it is, but it should not be a big thing because I believe it’s mainly for companies’ benefits.”
Carsen Halls (8th Grade-) “Yes it is, but it’s not a major one. It’s like Mother’s Day or Father’s Day. It’s not like Christmas or that stuff.”(Ms. McMahan- )“It should not be, because I believe that you shouldn’t show love to others on just one day of the year, you should show your love to others everyday.”Katlyn Young (7th Grade-) “It depends. I believe that if I you are 16 years or older, then yes because you’re supposed to show people how much you love them, but if you are 15 and younger then it’s more just about the candy.”Garrett Hatch (7th Grade-) “Yes, because you’re supposed to show people how much you love them.”
Mr. Segebart: “No, Hallmark just did it to make money by selling cards and candy.”
