OTHER: Lights, Camera, Live Action Movies!

Did you see the live action Beauty and the Beast movie back in 2017? Do you wish some of your other favorite Disney movies were live action? Well, you’re in luck! During the year of 2019, three more Disney animated classics are being remade as live action films.

First up will be Dumbo. Right now the release date is planned for March 29, 2019 and the film is two hours and ten minutes. Dumbo is a fantasy story about an owner of a struggling circus who hires a man and his two children to care for a newborn elephant that can fly. Some of the main actors in this movie will be Danny DeVito, playing Max Medici (the owner the circus) and Eva Green, as Colette Marchant, an aerial acrobat in Medici’s circus. Of course, we can’t forget about Collin Farrel, playing the WWI veteran and father of two who is Holt Farrier. Finley Hobbins and Nico Parker who will play Joe and Milly (Holt’s children).

Next, the live action Aladdin will fly (on a magic carpet) into the cinema on May 24, 2019. In this fantasy/romance movie, street-rat Aladdin, impersonated by Mena Massoud, frees the beloved genie, Will Smith, from a lamp. Thanks to an evil Royal Vizier, Aladdin has to save Princess Jasmine, played by Naomi Scott.

Last to reach the theaters will be The Lion King. This drama/adventure movie will be directed by Jon Favreau, and is hoped to be released July 19, 2019. When Simba is a cub, he can’t wait to be the ruler of the Pride Lands. The problem is, when his father is killed, Simba is forced to run away. Simba has to find the strength to take back what is rightfully his. The main character, Simba, is played by Donald Glover. His father, Mufasa, will be played by James Earl Jones. John Oliver will be playing everyone’s favorite

Those clunky, animated, Disney classics will always be cherished, but they had better make room, because these new live action versions are promised to grab everyone’s attention.
