As Student Council gets ready for the Wish Week Assembly, 7th graders fill in the stands, pumped with energy. The assembly included a relay race, a life-size Foosball game, and the classic tug-of war between the sevvies and the rulers of the school.
In the midst of the commotion, Student Council made the last minute preparations. As some of the participants of the assembly’s events, the teachers chatted among themselves, mentally preparing for the challenges to come.

The start of the tug-of-war game intensified with every second that the audience waited for somebody to say ‘go’. With Mrs. Breitwieser leading the eighth graders and Mr. Reyes leading the seventh graders, it seemed to all that this would be a pretty fair match.

At the word, “GO!” everyone pulled. The eighth graders seemed to be winning. However, this sudden luck was short lived.

The seventh graders pulled past the eighth graders. Mrs. B thought the game was over when her foot touched the mid-line, but the eighth graders kept pulling for the smallest strand of hope to win.
It was a hard fight, but in the end the sevvies took home the pride and the win. All-in-all, the Wish Week Assembly was high-spirited and a good break from the regular school hour. A BIG shout-out to StuCo for preparing it and to every good sport who participated. Thank you!
