DIY School Hacks

As the end of school comes closer and closer, there are a couple of tricks you can use for the next year to make it more enjoyable.

The first trick is a way to erase the highlighter off paper. All you need to do is use a Q-tip and lemon juice (not lemonade), dip the Q-tip in the lemon juice and rub it on the highlighted area. There you go, an easy way to reverse a common mistake.

The next one is a way to make your own pencil sharpener. The items needed are a tic-tac box and a basic pencil sharpener. Now use hot glue to glue the sharpener to the inside of the tic tac box and cut out the front of the dispenser. You then can sharpen your pencil without making a mess.

If you are planning to go to someone’s house right after school, there is a must have hack to save space in your backpack. First, lay out a shirt and then place folded pants or shorts on top of it. Then place any other clothing items (like underwear) and a sock on top of the pants. Fold the shirt over the clothing items, then roll it up starting with the sleeves. After, use the other sock of the pair you packed you placed in and put the roll into the sock.

Finally, this last hack is a reusable note that is very simple to make and use. All you need is to put clear tape over the front or back of a sticky-note. Use a dry erase marker and then you can write and erase notes.

Have a good summer students, and I hope you can relax as you read more stories!
