Arepas are a popular Venezuelan dish that is loved and made by families in many Southern countries. However, this recipe is super easy to make that it can be enjoyed by all families no matter their bloodline using only four simple ingredients. 


1). 2 cups of Arepa flour

2). 2 teaspoons of salt

3). 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil

4). 2½ cup of warm water


1). First, add the flour and salt into a bowl. After this, make a hole in the middle and add the water. 

2). Stir until no dry lumps are visible and let the mix rest for five minutes

3). After resting, start kneading the dough a few times and before dividing it into 8 pieces. Roll each piece and flatten it to about ½ inches. 

4). Then, pour the oil into a large skillet with medium heat and add four Arepas. Cover and cook until golden brown then uncover, flip and cook for an additional 6-8 minutes each and repeat.
