OHSO is a popular eatery and brewery with locations in Gilbert, Arcadia, Scottsdale, and Paradise Valley. The brainchild of Pat Walsh and John Lane, OHSO is known for their large selection of burgers and sandwiches.
OHSO, which is an acronym for Outrageous Homebrewers Social Outpost, is located about four miles from Greenfield Junior High in downtown Gilbert. (Although there are several other locations, I am specifically reviewing the Gilbert location.) The restaurant provides a large amount of outdoor seating, equipped with misters for the summer and heaters for the winter. There are also ping pong tables, so you will not be bored while waiting for your food. For the adults, there are two full bars: one inside and one outside. With many televisions scattered around the restaurant, customers won’t miss out on the action in any of their favorite sporting events. In addition to outstanding entertainment, OHSO also boasts several large menus of delectable food. Some of the highlights of the brunch menu include donut holes, salmon avocado toast, Fruity Pebbles french toast, chicken and waffles, chorizo egg skillet, and a croissant sandwich.
If the brunch menu sounded good, you will thoroughly enjoy the lunch and dinner selections. For starters, customers can indulge in pretzels and dips, steak and fries, cheese boards, Hawaiian style tuna stack, and buffalo cauliflower. Out of the many entrees, some of the standouts are the beer braised short ribs, various types of tacos, salads, brisket sandwich (my personal favorite), peanut butter and jelly burger, and a brat burger. For dessert, I would recommend the caramel apple pie with vanilla ice cream. The great food, service, and entertainment gives me no choice but to give OHSO a 5-star rating. To anyone who is seeking a go-to restaurant for anything from a casual dinner to a large party, I highly suggest going to OHSO Restaurant and Brewery.
