Snickerdoodles

TESSA ABBIATTI– GRZEXP

Mmmmmm…snickerdoodles. Have you ever tasted something so delicious? Well, today I am going to make a batch of fresh, warm snickerdoodles!

This recipe will take about 20 minutes to prep, as well as, take 10 to 12 minutes to cook. One batch can serve 48 people. Here’s what you will need for one batch: ½ cup of butter, ½ cup of shortening, 1½ cups of white sugar, 2 eggs, 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract, 2¾ cups of all all-purpose flour, 2 teaspoons of cream of tartar, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, ¼ teaspoon salt, 2 tablespoons of white sugar, and 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon.

Now we are going to make this yummy recipe. First, preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. If you have an oven that runs on celsius, then preheat your oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Next, take your softened butter, cream of tartar, shortening, sugar, eggs, and vanilla, put them in a bowl and mix until smooth. After that, blend in our first mix with; flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and last the salt. Mix until smooth consistency. Now, shape the dough into round balls about a spoonful per cookie.

Then, mix 2 tablespoons of sugar and 2 tablespoons cinnamon in a plastic baggy. Take your balls of dough and roll them into the mixture. Place the dough about 2 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet or cookie pan. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until set but not too hard. Make sure you move immediately from the baking sheets and set until cool enough to eat.

Today I made scrumptious snickerdoodles. I hope you will enjoy them as much as I did, and will continue baking in the future. And here are some other fun cookie recipes;
