Ms.Bowers

  When asked what was most eye-catching about herself she responded with,

 “My sense of humor and how I treat everyone with kindness.” Mrs.Bowers is a seventh grade teacher that has definitely won the hearts of many students here at Greenfield Junior High.  This beloved teacher was born on November 8th in the state of Montana. She grew up in a military family so she had to move more than twenty times. So far, she has lived in Japan and  seven states in the U.S. When she was younger, she went to highschool in Minot, North Dakota, she then proceeded to college in Tennessee after she graduated highschool. Bowers later got her Masters degree in education from NAU. She has been teaching for 24 years soon to start her 25th. Mrs.Bowers teaches seventh grade social studies, as well as english but she has also taught math and elementary school. 

When asked what her lifelong dream is she responded with, “to travel to all 50 states and set foot on six to seven continents”. While not teaching, she spends her time doing photography, baking, lifting weights, watching disney, and watching high school or college football. She has a very loved son named Zach, who is a sophomore at the University of Hawaii, playing on their football team. Mrs.Bowers is also the school’s winter cheer coach at Greenfield. Other than being a cheer coach, she has also participated in soccer, ran track, and was a cheerleader. She has three favorite quotes that she lives by and loves. One of these quotes are, “Excellence, then, is not an act by a habit” (Aristotle).

Mrs.Bowers is full of personality and is an amazing teacher. She works with her students through humor and always finds a way to personally connect with them. It’s easy to become friends with her, and she is loved by all her students, as well as all the teachers she meets! Everyone is hoping for her to teach for many years to come.
