GRZEXP Staff: Bridgette Hanson
With Christmas, right around the corner, many would like nothing better than to curl up with a good book and a cup of hot cocoa by a fire, but it’s not easy to find good hot chocolate these days. One of the Hanson family favorites is their homemade cocoa mix. It’s easy to make and even easier to drink for hours on end. The family has a bit of a hot cocoa addiction, and tends to drink it the whole Christmas season. They have used this recipe for years, and have it down to a “T”. If you are looking for an amazing recipe to sip during this chilly Christmas season, this is the one for you.

Cinnamon (as much as you desire)
Directions:
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and store until ready to use. To use, mix approximately four tbsps of your new mixture with hot water. If you are looking to spice it up, you can add peppermint syrup for peppermint flavored cocoa.
The next time you’re curling up with a good book or movie surrounded by friends and family, remember that hot cocoa makes everything better. With all the Christmas cheer, you never run out of room for this classic dessert drink that has brought happy memories to families for generations. When you’ve got a cup of whip cream and hot cocoa, not even Covid can ruin the mood.
